This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Natural Medicine.

In this badge bit, you will harvest, dry and store raspberry leaf.

You need to dry enough to make a tea, infusion or decoction.

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must post:
- a picture of your fresh herbs being harvested
- a picture of your herbs drying (hanging, in a dehydrator, or in a bag, etc)
- a picture of your herbs in a sealed and labelled container.
    - label shows where the herbs came from, the date and method of drying.

- a picture of your journal page recording where the herbs came from, the date and method of drying.

Doesn't it make more sense to write this on the container? If you have gathered raspberry leaf multiple times, this would fill your journal up and make it less usable as you go on. Is the point of the journal to build an herbal or is it just for the course?

My friend had raspberries that did really well this summer! Tried to stay to the smaller leaves that were still fresh since I was harvesting really late. We’ll have to see what they taste like - hopefully not too bitter.

I only gathered and prepared a small amount due to space limits, but it's about  2 doses worth.

Hooray! I finally got some red raspberry leaves! It's been on my list for awhile. I've waited all season for the plants to be big enough. Mine are still ity bitty starts, so my friends let me pick from their patch. Here's one plant, a bunch harvested, dried, and stored in a labeled jar. All gals should have raspberry leaf herb on hand. My herb teacher says "you're crazy if you don't just make yourself some tea a few times a week just to keep your hormones functioning smoothly!" I wonder if "crazy" meant ill-advised, or literally hormone crazy?! haha

Hey, NatMedPerms!
Concocting decoctions and fusing infusions from essential oils and store-bought herbs to make diverse remedies have been a favorite past time for a long time. With suddenly having access to much land for forage and growing, learning the basics is so much fun!

Raspberry leaf tea is one of my favorites for digestive support, and midsummer is a great time to harness all of the plant's potential, so I gathered enough leaves to store for making teas in the months to come.

I hung them to dry on a spare clothes-rack in our upstairs "seed" room. I'll post here again when the leaves are dried and stored.

It’s raspberry season yall! While picking berries I harvested some leaf from first year plants that have not fruited yet, I let them air dry on my wood stove (because I’m lazy) I jarred them up for tea and other medicines needed in the future.

Very small harvest on my yearling plants, but that's enough for a tea (will most likely make this into a mix)
