Ha ha, wait till you get a little older, you might think differently about it. You’re still a baby😁.

Ps: you know I’m not saying that with any maliciousness, quite the opposite. I’m so happy to see young people doing great things, like you do!

I'm glad to still be considered young by many! It's so weird, though, being able to talk about things from my teen years that were "20 years ago." It's seriously disorienting, because those years don't seem "20 years ago"!

I saw this the other day, and it was SO TRUE!

1980 was 20 years ago millenial meme

and also this:

1970 is 30 years ago, 2018 was 2 years ago it's only January millennial time meme

What I love about backing Paul et al. is how great the demonstrations are coming along.  Having sites like his are the required real world demonstration examples we all need to see to help transform our damaged world.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  So far 2008 of us have put our hard earned bucks forward to help make this all happen....what a great bunch!

I feel like it is a large positive - I feel very encouraged.  And it encourages others to take steps forward and do their own kickstarter.

Thanks Jennifer. That's what I was looking for. I'd scanned the options for one that had +0 after it, but I'd missed the fact that there was an option which just didn't list potage at all.

Cheers! All done

When the kickstarter is over we'll send out a survey where you'll get to officially say you only want the digital goods.  So picking US VI gets you the free shipping, and then later you select the digital only options.  If someone changes their mind later and wants physical stuff it really gums up the works and we have to charge them extra shipping later along with a little headache for all of us.

Two quick questions.....

Of all the stretch goals so far, which one do you think did the most to propel the whole kickstater forward?

Is there a type of stretch goal that we're missing?  Some style of goodie that we just haven't offered yet that would really scratch your itch?

We're working on arranging more goals so if we're missing an entire stretch goal department or could focus better on a type that really worked, that would be good to know :)

I want to complete the requirements of listening to 200 of Paul’s podcasts for putting down roots, so I’d love to see a bundle of the old podcasts as a stretch goal. I found the chance at the event tickets very motivating. The stretch goals that seem most aligned with supporting me in achieving PEP certification are the most exciting to me.

I love learning so more the merrier. I particularly like stuff that everyone gets because otherwise I usually get left out. I'm just not lucky. I think the tickets to the events are great but even if I won one I would have to turn it down. I am tied down with animals couldn't go, although I would very much like to. I would imagine that most of the folks in other countries wouldn't be able to attend either. So I guess stuff we all get and can use at home would be my preference. Thanks

I think all the stretch goals and goodies are amazing, I can't decide what might have motivated others to jump on in.  For me, I can say that Paul's honesty about the financials and how this is the annual fundraiser of sorts really helped motivate me to jump up to a higher backer level.  Sure I can be motivated by all the content offered and tickets to events, I won't lie, but seeing how my support matters to this cool permaculture group that I value, that helped me make more room for it in my budget.

As far as other stretch goals or enticements...what about:
- something related to passive income
- add projects to SKIP to achieve multiple bits at once
- Permies web site addition, dedicated to SKIPers, where they can can post a profile for potential OTISes to look through, searchable by geographic areas interested in, skills, bit badges, etc.  It could function like a version of LinkedIn or Fiverr where you highlight yourself for recruiters or patrons.
- what can we do to get the $65'ers to jump to $100???  Should there be additional enticements?

Sooo for me, I was in at $65 (the Permaculture Voices series was what made me up to that, I think) and for the extra money the $100 level was enticing with the other book/cards swap, but the thing that made me take the plunge was the Bootcamp fee. It’s $100 by itself, and even though I’m currently halfway around the world and have no idea when I can feasibly make it out there, I know I’d like to, eventually. Seems like anyone who is even toying with the idea of a bootcamp stint would be better off getting all the awesome Kickstarter stuff along with their fee - and if you’re already at $65 and don’t care about the other $100 perks, upping to $100 just for the bootcamp fee is still a 65% discount!

The bootcamp fee and the book/card swap is what made me choose the $100 level, plus all the amazing stretch goals! The world domination gardening dvd is a favorite, I was so happy we hit that one.

I was also very happy to support your annual “fund raiser”, to get permaculture infecting more minds!!! YES PLEASE!! Especially when you make it so worth it for me in prizes!

I just wanted to comment because I’m so excited for $100,000. I keep checking back with anticipation... you all must be beside yourselves!

This is the first time I've ever backed anything and this feels so worth it!

You know what they say, the best time to kickstart something was 12 years ago, the second best time is now.

Those are some great points about the $100 level.  Maybe we should put a stretch goal at that level to entice some more folks to jump up a bit higher.

I just did more math and if all the people that are under $65 raised their level to $65 it would bring in over $65,000 to the project.  It's surprising how many people are at the $45 level given the stuff they'd get for going up to $65.  Maybe today is their day

Thanks for all your support!  Watching the bootcamp and other projects going on at WL makes me really wonder how Paul pays for all of it.  Of course, now we know it's kickstarters.  Go Team!

For me anyway one of the most inspiring stretch goals was the access to Permaculture Voices 1, 2, and 3 presentations.  I already have the presentation from the 1st conference so I know what a bounty of information, passion, and knowledge is in there.  Adding in the other two conference presentations...  Just wow!  That's a lot of quality info presented by major people in permaculture.  They aren't just speaking off the cuff either.  These are considered and prepared talks they gave.  I felt like this alone was more than worth $65.

The three basic human needs are food, water, and shelter, and I just realized the $65 level covers all of them!

FOOD
50k Leigh Tate's "5 acres and a Dream the Book" eBook
75k Robert Kourik's "Roots Demystified" eBook
85k Paul Wheaton's "World Domination Gardening" 3 movie set - 1 gift code
100k Lynn Gillespie's “High Performance Gardening” eBook

WATER
15k Sepp Holzer's "Desert or Paradise" movie
20k David Pagan Butler's "Natural Swimming Pools" movie
55k Green planet films “Abundance on Dry Land” documentary
65k Michael Judd “Water Harvesting and Soil Building” Webinar ( live webinar so we don't have a link to post)

SHELTER
30k Mike Oehler's "The $50 and Up Underground House" eBook
45k Tony Wrench's "A Simple Roundhouse Manual" eBook

I'm not quite sure where to put the energy ones, as they're used for both food and shelter, so I'm giving them their own section...

ENERGY
25k Ben Peterson's "Wood Gasifier Builders Bible" eBook
60k Tickets to 2021 Permaculture Technology Jamboree (PTJ) at Wheaton Labs
90k tickets to the 2021 Rocket Mass Heater Jamboree at Wheaton Labs
95k 20 backers get their likeness worked into the illustrations!

And these cover more than one!

I backed one book right at the start then upgraded to USD65. At that level if I only choose one book, do I get slapped with the additional postage? How can I work this out? I only have one credit card.
