Roy,

The level of information kickstarter gives us right now is a bit limited, but I did some extra fishing ... and I found YOUR backer info.  You are all set at the $65 backer level. Confirmed.

Thanks for that confirmation Paul.  This is a pretty exciting and growing project.

what a lovely ride.  What a cool thing.  I suggest everybody should do a kickstarter - it's rather soul building!

Amazing!  Congrats to everyone! Authors, permies, boots, backers, word spreaders, etc. I look forward to knowledge and information about whatever awesome projects are built out at Wheaton Labs as a result of this kickstarter. It is so very cool to say I was a part of this.  Thank you all.
Job well done!!!

Congratulations to everyone!  A big thanks to Mike and Paul for all their work in this as well as all the people/organizations that supported them with all the stretch goal rewards they were able to offer.  Actually make that all the rewards they offered since frankly there are a ton even without that huge pile of stretch goals!

Quite an overshoot! 140,000 over the initial goal! Amazing! Lots of us believe in what you are doing, Paul. :D

Firstly, Congratulations! That should fall into some kind of overachievement category for crowdfunding.

Last night I got enough overtime and got hints of future overtime that I suddenly wanted to get in on all the goodies that come with a $65 pledge. But I was a little too late today. Do you have any mechanism to let a latecomer in on the action? Obviously I could still buy the book but those extras and stretch goals are VERY appealing.  I don't need the multiple copies nor the ticket. Shoot, I could even be happy with a single PDF and no hardcopy if I could make the donation and get the other freebies. Let me know privately ( pwe@nusculus.com ) or publicly (reply here) if you can help me out with this. Or offer all those great things again in a future Kickstarter.

Thanks for all you do. I'm quite late to the game, but want to learn enough to try homesteading and maybe even market gardening for retirement in several years.

This kickstarter should be the example for how to do things like this. Totally a win win for everyone involved, authors, content producers, backers, everyone. Totally a no brainer for anyone with even an inkling of interest in gardening, conservation, or homesteading skills or so much more!
Thanks so much Mike and Paul for pushing through and getting this going.
Just awesome!

Thanks Keith and everyone!  I think this is the way to do a kickstarter.  Lots of added goodies and cross promotion to both bring in new partnerships (Mother Earth News, The Living Farm, Bernal Brothers Studio, etc) and to get different authors/books into the view of the permies audience (Larisa Walk, Tony Wrench, etc).  Plus it ends up with some extra money to fund the empire.  And it spreads permaculture thinking further into the world.  Win win win win

Thanks Kevin!  No, we can't do anything like that.  It wouldn't work with the agreements we made with all the authors and content providers.  Sorry!  Next time Paul does one (next year?) I'm guessing there will be a similarly awesome pile of goodies but they'll probably be mostly different.

The graphic pointing out what all the backers would get at X level and the value they showed were good. Earlier on might help as well.
When things are rolling fast having the next 2 stretch goals would help. You all did that toward the end. Maybe put up the 2nd up stretch goal when present level reaches over half way?
So for instance putting up the $45,000 stretch goal graphic when the funding hits $37,500, etc.
You could expand the reach for promotions but moving into self preparedness areas and such would probably expand the base into things that would require to much support. Expanding the scope beyond the proper function type thing.

But if you did nothing different, you were darn near perfect!

Jen, first could you try logging out and then back in to see if it works?

If you did use a different email for kickstarter, the email you got inviting you to this forum should have had instructions on how to link them in your permies account settings.  Maybe try that?

After I finish uploading Wildlife pics I totally will. :) But it's usually because I have x+kickstarter@gmail and Permies doesn't like the "+kickstarter" and won't let me add it as a secondary email address.

Increment that counter ! However clicking on that LINK, I see a lof of message. So this mean I have access ? I am seeing a "dailyish" forum on the right.

Okay, so logging in and out fixed it. I have too much stuff opened up in my browser to erase anything. Let's see you all on the other side.

EDIT: But I see I don't have that glorious "K" next to my name. Luckily for you, I don't know where I put my pitchfork. GIMME ! :@

The "K" for this kickstarter won't show up at least until after Kickstarter gives us all your identities.  And then at that point it's a matter of prioritizing doing K's or sending out goodies.  So it will show up, no idea how soon...

Ok, we found out that the "+kickstarter" part of your email was messing it up.  So I added you manually.  Luckily there are only two of you in the world with that problem so it wasn't too hard to fix.

I have six windows open and lots of separate windows opened on each page window. Probably over 200 windows.

A restart "wipes" them NOT permanently. Sometimes a message pops up after restart "X didn't close properly" or some such message. Click on it and all windows come back. If not go to the three dots on the far right of the URL band and click on it. It will show the recently closed, which will be the Window OR the multiple WindowS that you had open. Click on as many as you want and they will reload. Or do a CTRL+SHIFT+T and it will open the one at a time.
