Good question Opalyn!  I'll run it past Paul.  We'd need to change about 1000 BBs to that format but it would make it much faster to figure out the requirements.  I'd love it if Gir Bot could find the requirements and show them to us when we certify but that is probably hoping for a lot...

Does anyone want to get cranking on writing BB posts for some of the PEA badges?  That is...  Permaculture Experience that can be done Anywhere.

The PEA Gardening, PEA Animal Care, PEA Community and PEA Roundwood Woodworking badges are all ready for their BBs.

Here's the thread for How to make a BB post.  It was written for PEP but by changing one letter it works for PEA.

If you haven't done these before but want to join in, have at it.  But just do one before checking in to see how you're doing.

If you want to claim one of these badges all for yourself to knock out, please claim it in this thread.  For instance:  "I call dibs on Animal Care.  Gimme gimme gimme.  All you folks can just work on those other badges"

Go team!!!

Here is a page for the thyme infusion BB! I just wanted to get approval before I go and create more wiki pages.

Create an infusion of thyme leaves - PEP BB medicine.sand.thymeinfusion
Staff note (Mike Barkley) :

Logan, which badge is that for? Looks good to me so I'm going to get it set up & completely ready to go pending final approval from Mike H or Paul. They are very busy this week. I think it is OK for you to proceed with other BBs to help speed up the overall process. Just keep posting them here pending final approval. Thanks!

Logan ... I got some input from senior staff & I'm going to start working on converting these to BBs tonight. At first glance the tinctures look like they're ready. The others seem to need a picture or a video like you put in the tinctures. A link to the specific herbs would be useful too. The basic idea is to give a complete novice something to help them get started. Can you add pix & useful links to all the non tinctures?

Oops. I just noticed the tinctures have reference to a journal page. The journal is being eliminated. Please edit the journal page requirement out. It's only about the medicine now, not the journal.

Great! I've also just noticed that there are 2 BB's that seem VERY similar, with the same code in the foraging straw badge.
https://permies.com/wiki/146423/pep-foraging/Prepare-Dishes-Dish-List-foraging - foraging.straw.eightdishes - 1/2 point each (totaling 4 points)
&
https://permies.com/wiki/146346/pep-foraging/Foraged-Dishes-foraging-straw-eightdishes - foraging.straw.eightdishes - 4 points
|~|
Again, these seem to be more or less the same BB? one has a minimum species requirement & the other doesn't but that's mostly it. Any idea on what is going on here?

This one might need the requirements edited to allow a longer video time. The first poster had enough seeds but the 2 minute video only showed about half being planted. Since it was from the jamboree I have very little doubt that all 60 seeds actually were planted. Can I get some input from Mike Haasl or Paul Wheaton please?

this is from the community badge page:

Teach a six-hour workshop - 2 to 10 points
 - Can be combined with “set up a six-hour workshop” to get two BBs
Set up a six-hour workshop - 2 to 10 points
 - Can be combined with “teach a six-hour workshop” to get two BBs

These two BBs seem to need some attention.  The requirements look the same and the second does not ask for info on how it was set up and says that the workshop is taught by someone else (which contradicts the info on the badge page).    I think some info on setting up the workshop would be preferred over matching requirements and editing the language to be taught by "you or someone else".

Improved.  Curious about the requirement of a specific number of participants - if it was less for the set up then that person could get one BB (instead of 2 if there were enough participants).

Yup, I doubt we'll be able to reconsider the difference in the number of people until PEP 2.0.  Arguments could be made either way for changing it so I'm gonna just quietly wander away...

Created the textiles BB page for a quilted garment (shirt/jacket/pants/skirt) here for your viewing pleasure. If someone could make it a wiki and add it to the Textiles PEP page, that'd be great!

that looks great. I think I’ll add reviewing this to the textile friends meeting (on saturdays) since there has been a lot of conversation about the quilting BBs -  patchwork and/or the quilting the layers together.

Completed the following BBs:
- Yarrow Poultice
- Mullein Poultice
They are designated as BB threads and linked on the Badge Page.  Could somebody review and make sure I caught all the old references to Comfrey Poultice?
Thanks!

Checked them and fixed a comfrey or two.  All good now (I think)

Where is the thread for adding suggestions for the next round of revisions?  I keep seeing ideas floating around as new people do BBs and want to coral them into a place for future review but my search has been fruitless.

Just finished these BBs:
patch or darn a blanket (prettily) - 1/2 point
mend a hole in a quilt - 1/2 point
mend a hole in a blanket - 1/2 point
add new fabric over the worn fabric on a padded chair - 1 point

They all should be wikified, BB designated, and linked.  They do not have photos, articles, or videos yet.

Thanks Opalyn, you rock!
